Permissions & Data
Consent before capture
The first time you trigger a capture, Scribble Capture asks for your explicit permission. Nothing is recorded until you grant it, and you can revoke it at any time from the extension settings.
Permissions we request
activeTab — read the current tab's visible pixels, only when you start a capture.
scripting — inject the scroll-and-stitch routine into the page you're capturing.
downloads — save your exported PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF file.
storage — remember your preferences and the last ten captures, locally.
Retention
Capture history keeps a maximum of ten recent images on your device. Older entries are dropped automatically, and "Clear History" in settings removes all of them immediately.
Reviews
After your third capture we may invite you to leave a review on the Chrome Web Store. The prompt is optional, can be dismissed, and sends us no data about you.
